Delphine Lebourgeois is a French artist based in London UK who studied Fine Art in Ecole des Beaux Arts de Lyon and completed her Masters at Central St Martins in London.
Her work explores via precise scenarios, the realm of human psychology whilst questioning illustrative and fine art traditions. She is interested in popular culture, fairy tales and story telling.
Her female characters, often rebellious and portrayed marching as one, are together guardians of our individual freedom and an echo to the liberation of speech.
She enjoys playing with various stylistic sources (ranging from Renaissance paintings to comics) and drawing is at the core of her practice.
Her work has been featured in The Guardian, Vogue, Time Out, Stylist and Soho House amongst others. In 2019, some of her images were used as street art in the video game Need For Speed Heat produced by EA Games.
